Abstract

Background : Lack of knowledge experienced by teenagers daughter about hygiene in Indonesia , which is experiencing vaginal discharge as much as 90% and among them 60 % teenagers , problems health reproduction in adolescents daughter due to Because Still low lack of knowledge and behavior in maintain hygiene when menstruation Purposes : Analyze care nursing at the stage development family age teenager with diagnosis readiness improvement knowledge with done education about hygiene at the time menstruation . Methods : Study This use method case . Number sample taken as many as 5 people. The level of knowledge and hygiene behavior when menstruation measured use questionnaire Nursing Care Outcome: The results of the study obtained stage development family who have not fulfilled is balancing freedom and responsibility answer For maintain hygiene at the time menstruation . Diagnosis nursing priority on family is readiness improvement knowledge . Interventions carried out that is Health education with hygiene materials at the time menstruation . Implementation done for 2 days meeting . Evaluation results The average value of the knowledge level before being given education was 14.80, after being given education it increased to 18.40, while for hygiene behavior during menstruation before being given education it was 39.00 after being given education it increased to 53.60. Conclusion : There is influence giving hygiene education during menstruation to level knowledge and behavior respondents .
