Abstract

Background: Consuming psychotropic substances and drugs containing pharmaceutical precursors without direction or a doctor's prescription can lead to dependence and disrupt daily activities due to the pathological effects caused. Therefore, strict supervision of the distribution and use of psychotropic products and precursors is essential, including by Pharmaceutical Wholesalers. PBF must comply with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) to ensure the quality, efficacy, and safety of drugs to consumers. Research Objective: This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) in the handling of psychotropics and precursors at PBF Penta Valent Purwokerto. Research Method: This study was conducted through direct observation and interviews with the responsible pharmacist (APJ). Results: PBF Penta Valent Purwokerto has met all aspects of the 19 operational points required by GDP, including procurement, storage, distribution, and documentation as mandated by GDP 2020 for specific psychotropics and precursors, which have been carried out very well. Conclusion: The handling of psychotropics and precursors at PBF Penta Valent is in accordance with GDP in 2020.
