Abstract

Background: Hypertension is also a silent killer disease (silent killer) because it can cause sudden death caused by higher blood pressure so that the risk of suffering from complications is even greater. One of the alternative treatments is nonpharmacological therapy which is very effective in reducing and helping to treat hypertension, one of which is foot therapy. Objective: The purpose of this paper is to get an overview of the application of foot therapy as a management of acute pain nursing problems in hypertensive patients. Method: This paper uses a descriptive case study design. The case study subjects were 5 hypertension patients who experienced pain nursing problems. Collecting data with observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. Results : The main nursing diagnosis that appears in the fifth patient with hypertension is acute pain. Implementation is carried out according to nursing interventions, evaluation of the results for 3x24 hours decreases pain levels and increases pain control. Recommendation: Nurses are expected to be able to apply foot therapy to treat acute pain nursing problems in hypertensive patients.
