Abstract

Backround: Appendicitis is an inflammatory condition of the appendix that often causes severe pain and requires surgical intervention. Post- operative patients often experience significant pain, ehich can impact the recovery process. Lavender aromatherapy has been shown to be effective in reducing pain in post-operative patients. Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy in reducing pain in post appendictomi patients. Methods: This study used a descriptive xase study design on post appendicectomy patients with acute pain at Chrysan C Ward, Siaga Medika Banyumas Hospital. Result: A case study of 5 female patients aged 20-25 years at Siaga Medika Banyumas Hospital showed that nursing resulted in a decreease in average pain scale to 3, with improve pain complaints. Conclusion: The result showed that lavender aroma therapy is effective in reducing pain in post appendicectomy patients, with a decrease in pain scale.
