Abstract

Background: The rate of delivery by sectio caesarea method has increased worldwide. Data from the Indonesian Health Survey SKI, reported the average number of cesarean section deliveries in Indonesia was 25.9%. Surgery can pose a threat to life and body integrity, planned surgery causes different responses in patients such as fear, so that fear can cause physiological responses such as anxiety in patients. Objective: This study aims to determine the description of anxiety in pre sectio caesarea patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Methods: The research design used descriptive type with quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 77 respondents through simple random sampling technique. Data collection was done with HARS questionnaire. Data were analyzed univariately. Results: The characteristics of the majority of respondents aged 26-30 years as many as 32 people (41.6%). The majority of respondents' education level was high school as many as 24 respondents (59.7%). The majority of gravida history is G1P0A0 as many as 37 people (48.1%). The majority of respondents' jobs as housewives were 34 people (44.2%). The majority of anxiety levels in pre sectio caesarea patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital with moderate category as many as 65 people (84.4%). Conclusion: Anxiety in pre sectio caesarea patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital mayo.
