Abstract

Background : Low self-esteem is a negative evaluation of oneself, Symptoms of low self-esteem disorders can be seen through self-critical behavior with negative assessments. Negative self-evaluation must be addressed immediately so that other problems such as social isolation do not arise. Objective : The purpose of this case study is to implement a combination of ball throwing therapy with a combination of self-talk for self-concept in patients with low self-esteem in the psychiatric inpatient room of the siaga medika banyumas general hospital. Method : This case study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The case study subjects were 16 schizophrenia patients with low self-esteem. The instruments used include nursing care formats, observation sheets, RSES self-concept assessments and SOPs for playing throwing catch with a combination of self-talk. Nursing care outcome : In the implementation of TAK three times with eight clients, the results showed an increase in self-esteem and self-concept in a positive direction in six clients, while two clients still showed a self-concept in the poor range. Coclusion : Playing throwing catch with a combination of self-talk for self-concept in low self-esteem patients in the psychiatric inpatient room of the siaga medika banyumas general hospital has significant results, namely increasing self-esteem and self-concept in mental patients with low self-esteem. Recommendation : It is hoped that the combination therapy of playing therapy throwing catch the ball with a combination of self-talk for self-concept can be applied according to the SOP in the hospitalization of the siaga medika banyumas hospital.
