Abstract

Background: Children before reaching adulthood are vulnerable figures and still need direction and supervision until they reach adulthood. Because at the age of children (0 to 19 years) are susceptible/vulnerable to various things including illness, the most common symptom at the beginning of suffering from illness is fever. General objective: To find out how the Tepid Water Sponge Intervention is given to patients with hyperthermia problems at the Karangkobar Health Center in 2024. Method: This study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The number of samples in this study was 5 people. Child with fever had their body temperature measured before being given warm water compress and wipe therapy or tepid water sponge then after being massaged again after therapy. The instruments used include the nursing care format and the Tepid Water Sponge SOP. Nursing Care Results: Symtom that appeared in the five patients were fever, cough and common cold. The intervention given to the five patient was the therapy of Tepid Water Sponge. The implementation carried out on the five patient was monitoring fever, providing non-pharmacological therapy Tepid Water Sponge. The evaluation results of the five patients showed a decrease in fever. The average decrease in fever in patient 1 was 0.2 oC, patient II was 0.1 oC, patient III was 0.3 oC, patient IV was 0.2 oC, patient V was 0.3 0C Recommendation: It is expected to be a reference for further researchers. Especially for children aged 4 to 5 years.
