Abstract

Background: Stroke patients generally experience muscle weakness problems, this condition will make it difficult for patients to move. Movement disorders due to muscle weakness occur due to damage to the nervous system in the brain. This has an impact on Activity Daily Living (ADL) where a person will depend on others either partially assisted or total dependence. Objective: Presenting nursing care to Non-Hemorrhagic Stroke (SNH) patients with nursing problems with Physical Mobility Disorders. Method: This research uses the case study method. The subjects of the case study were 5 Non-Hemorrhagic Stroke patients in accordance with the criteria of Inclusion and Exclusion. Results: The results of the evaluation of a case study that has been carried out by the author with the innovation of hand-holding rubber balls to five patients 3x24 hours for 10-15 minutes are known to increase the movement of upper exthermity, increase in upper extremity muscle strength, increase in range of motion, and joint stiffness decreased with the scale of muscle strength before 3 and after the action to 4. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving Rubber Ball Handheld Passive ROM therapy on increasing extremity muscle strength in patients with Non-Hemorrhagic Stroke (SNH) in the Carnation room of RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekardjo Purwokerto Recommendation: It is hoped that nurses can optimally apply active passive ROM with the innovation of rubber ball hand-held as a complementary therapy, so as to improve the quality of the hospital and accelerate patient recovery.
