Abstract

Baground, Drug storage is a crucial aspect of pharmaceutical management in pharmacies because it directly affects the quality, safety, and effectiveness of medicines. Objective, This study aimed to evaluate the drug storage system based on pharmaceutical service standards at Apotek Binar Purwokerto. Methods, This research used a descriptive observational method with data collection techniques through direct observation, checklists, and interviews. Results, The results showed that the level of conformity of the drug storage system with pharmaceutical service standards was 75% out of 20 assessed indicators. Condusion, This study concluded that the drug storage system at Apotek Binar Purwokerto is generally adequate but still requires improvements to fully comply with pharmaceutical service standards. Recommendation, Separating LASA and High Allergy medications and providing special labeling to reduce medication errors. Storing medications approaching their expiration date (3-6 months) separately and labeling them for easy identification. Strengthening medication storage SOPs to ensure procedures are consistently implemented by all pharmacy staff. Conducting routine monitoring and evaluation to ensure medication storage complies with pharmaceutical service standards.
