Abstract

The Community Health Center (Puskesmas) is an institution that serves as the primary site for promotive (improvement), preventive (prevention), curative (treatment), and rehabilitative (health restoration) activities for the community. Procurement is an effort or activity to meet operational needs established in the planning function. This study aims to determine the drug management process at the Karangsambung Community Health Center, specifically regarding drug procurement. This is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The study population consisted of pharmacists and pharmacy staff. The sample was drawn from individuals with an understanding of the topic under study, namely pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that in the drug procurement process at the Karangsambung Community Health Center, there are two sources of drug funding: from the Kebumen District Health Office and from independent procurement. In addition, drug procurement is carried out through the preparation of a Drug Use Report and Request Sheet (LPLPO) submitted to the District Health Office, as well as independent procurement based on the Electronic Catalogue (E-Catalogue). Independent procurement through E-purchasing is intended for drugs registered in the national electronic catalog.
