Abstract

Background: The family is the smallest group in society that lives together in one residence, starting from two individuals who unite in a marriage bond and become parents when they have children. The third stage of family development is families with pre-school children starting with the first child aged 2.5 to 5 years. Stunting (short) is the condition of toddlers or children who have less length or height compared to their age. Health education is expected to help reduce the risk of stunting in pre-school children. Purpose: Describes family nursing care at the developmental stage of pre-school children with ineffective family health management problems. Method: This study uses a descriptive method, namely a case study method which describes certain situations in current patients based on real existing problems so as to produce a well-organized and complete picture with the subjects of three assisted families. Result: After implementing health education for 5 meetings, there was an increase in pretest scores regarding nutrition for stunted children from before therapy to after therapy. There was an increase from a score of 4 to 6 for the pre-test and a score of 8 to 10 for the post-test in the three assisted families. Recommendation: Crossword puzzle therapy can be used to prevent and reduce dementia rates in the elderly.
