Abstract

Background: Endometriosis is a disorder that occurs in the endometrial lining when there is an endometrial lining that grows outside the uterine cavity, while endometriosis cysts are the formation of one or more cysts that can cause enlargement of the ovaries. Objective: Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with endometrioma cysts with the TAH-BSO program in the Flamboyan Room of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Regional Hospital. Methods: The method used was a case study, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation on one patient. The interventions implemented included anxiety reduction, pain management, and sexuality counseling over three days. Results: Nursing care that focuses on clinical monitoring and education of patients with anxiety disorders can reduce pre and post-operative clinical disorders and increase the level of patient ability or knowledge. Conclusion: The evaluation results showed that after nursing actions were carried out, the problems of anxiety, acute pain and the risk of sexual dysfunction were resolved with the outcome criteria that the patient had understood the consequences of the surgery to be carried out from a clinical and psychological perspective, understood complaints of anxiety, pain and limited sexual relations and how to handle them or aimed to reduce complaints and improve the patient's quality of life. Recommendation: It is hoped that further research will examine research subjects with more detailed risk factors and more varied characteristics, and with a wider sample size so that the data or conclusions from the research produced are more complete and accurate.
