Abstract

Background Phimosis is common in children. As a result, infants and children experience difficulty and pain when urinating. Phimosis in nutrional deficit children requires special attention during medical procedures such as circumcision, as a malnourished child's body may require a more stable condition for recovery. Although phimosis is generally normal in infants and young children due to immature skin development, not due to malnutrition. The purpose of this study was to formulate nursing care for patients with phimosis with nutritional deficit in the Onyx Ward, Permata Medika Hospital, Kebumen. Method This study used a case study with one patient at Permata Medika Hospital, Kebumen. Results The study showed that the patient's primary complaints were decreased appetite, lack of weight gain, and insufficient food portions, coupled with suboptimal physical growth and development for his age, indicating stunting. Interventions were tailored to the patient's needs and nursing diagnosis, including nutritional management, developmental care, and health education. The evaluation of An. M showed significant results. The nursing problem of nutritional deficit was resolved, with improved appetite, increased meal portions, and weight gain compared to before. Recommendation to provide education on a high-calorie, high-protein diet for toddlers, which can be applied to support weight gain and to repair body tissues damaged by malnutrition or during the recovery period.
