Abstract

Background:Hallucination rebuking therapy is an attempt to control oneself against hallucination by rejecting the appearing hallucination. Patient is trained to say “No” to the appearing hallucination or neglectingit. Objective: Describing nursing care to a schizophrenic clients with perception sensory hallucination of sight by applyingrebuking therapy. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interview, observation, and physical examination. The subjects were 2 clients having hallucinationsensory perception disorder. Result: After having nursing care for 3days, there was a decrease in signs and symptoms of the cognitive response by 25% (client I), and 12 % (client II) and the behavioral response by 16.7 % (client I) and 16.7 (client II).The ability to rebuke had increased at 80% (client I) and 40% (client II). Recommendation: This rebuking therapy for clients with hallucination hopefully can be applied in hospital and community. Keywords: Sensory perception, hallucination disorder, rebuking therapy
