Abstract
Background: Childbearing family is a family with the birth of the first child until the child is 30 months old.In this stage a family usually has problem in choosing contraceptives. Therefore, health education is necessary to improve the knowledge about contraception. Objective: To describe the nursing care for childbearing stage family having lack of knowledge in choosing contraceptives. Method : This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach.. Data were colleted through interview, physical examination, the result of quiestionnaire and documentation study. The subjects were Mrs. D and Mrs. A. Result: After having health education about contraception, there was an increase in knowledge level by 13% (Mrs. D) and 4% (Mrs. A). It means that lack of knowledge problem was resolved.
