Abstract
Background: Perineal wound is a common problem for postpartum mothers, This can lead to health problems, such as infection of perineal seams wound. This infection can be treated by giving honey. Honey is a kind of non-pharmacological therapy to accelerate the healing of perineal wound. Objective: This study aims at knowing the application of honey to accelerate the healing of perineal wound of postpartum mother. Method: The study was conducted by using an analytical descriptive method with a case study approach. The participants were 5 physiological postpartum mothers in Independent Midwifery Clinic of Midwife Ida Ayu A, S.ST in Kebumen. Data were obtained through interviews and observations. Result: The treatment of perineal wounds using honey resulted in 3 participants (60%) experienced wound healing in the fast category. Meanwhile 2 participants (40%) experienced wound healing in the normal category.
