Abstract
Background, Dysmenorrheais an interruption during menstruation characterized by pain. Genesis dysmenorrhea can affect women 72% of any age who are experiencing menstruation. Physical activity is one of the factors cause of dysmenorrhea because physical activity can reduce pain by increasing the secretion of endorphins. Objective,Determining the relationship of physical activity with the incidence of dysmenorrhea. Methods, The methodin this study used a the description of correlation with a cross sectional approach. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique as much as 88 respondents. Result, Indicates that of the 88 respondents who experienced dysmenorrhea most widely experienced by respondents with lower levels of physical activity as many as 71 respondents (80.7%), including 66 students experiencing dysmenorrhoea (75%) and 5 students did not experience dysmenorrhea (5.7%). Data were analyzed by Chi-square test p-value of 0.000 was obtained. Conclusion, It was concluded that the results (p <0.05) suggesting that there is a relationship between physical activity with the incidence of dysmenorrhea. Recommendations,For further researches expected to conduct research using other methods such as providing treatment for example experiments to compare the incidence of dysmenorrhea before and after the treatment so that the measurement is not done in time
