Abstract

Background: Based on preliminary studies carried out by researchers in the Puring Community Health Center in January to December 2018 as many as 4,821 elderly people, from these data the first noncommunicable disease was hypertension in 426 cases. The factors that cause irreversible hypertension are age, and the incidence of hypertension in older women is female. Whereas the causes of unchanged hypertension were 3 pre elderly worried, 4 pre elderly smoked, 4 elderly did not exercise, and 5 elderly consumed high salt. Objective : Knowing the risk factors associated with hypertension in Puskesmas Puring, Kebumen Regency. Research methods: This research is a quantitative, non experimental design using analytic correlation and cross sectional approach. The number of respondents 81 people, using univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-square value of ρ = < 0.05. Result : Based on the study the factors associated with hypertension in pra elderly is the age of the value ρ = 0.000 > 0.05, the sex of the value ρ = 0.022 > 0.05, salt consumption value of ρ = 0129 > 0.05, physical activity value ρ = 0.003 > 0.05, smoke value ρ = 0.099 > 0.05, and anxiety the value of ρ = 0.000 > 0.05. Conclusion : There are four factors associated with hypertension are age, sex, physical activity, and anxiety. Recommendation : The next research can examine add other risk factors associated genetic and alcohol comsumtion with the incidence hypertension of pre-elderly.
