Abstract
Background: Laparotomy is a procedure of abdominal surgery by dissecting abdominal is looking for abnormalities. Tissue damage due to laparotomy can cause acute pain. To overcome this problem patients can be given analgesics the combine with independent nursing therapy by murottal Al-Qur’an to decrease patient’s pain in non-pharmacological and religious aspect. Objective: Describing and analyze nursing care about the provision of murottal Al- Qur'an therapy in patients with acute post operations laparotomy pain at Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital. Methods: The case study method in this research used a descriptive method that was carried out with the main objective being to make a picture of a situation objectively and providing Murottal Al-Qur'an distraction audio therapy innovations to the patients of post operation Laparotomy with acute pain conducted in nine meetings with three patients Result: There were acute pain nursing problems in one patient and chronic pain in two patients from the three patients sampled and the patients are given audio intervention of the murottal Al-Qur’an as a non-pharmacological pain relief therapy. The implementation results showed that after the patient was given Al-Qur'an murottal distraction audio therapy the patient's pain level dropped from moderate pain to mild pain. Recommendation: The next researchers can develop and examine in more detail the benefits of Murottal Al-Qur'an distraction audio therapy.
