Abstract
Background: Acute Respiratory Tract Infection is one of the infectious diseases that can attack the upper respiratory tract and lower respiratory tract, which can be caused by a virus, bacteria and fungi. The prevalence of ARI at Community Health Center 1 Gombong in the period June- August 2021 is 35 patients, because in the treatment of ARI is still widely treated using antibiotics. Objective: To find out the evaluation of antibiotic use in patients with ARI of children at Community Health Center 1 Gombong whether it is rational based on the right indication, right patient, appropriate drug and appropriate dosage. Research Methods: This type of research is non-experimental with descriptive methods by taking data retrospectively. Data retrieval is done by total sampling technique with a total of 35 cases. The study was compared to pharmaceutical care literature standards. Results: The results showed that the antibiotic used is only a type of penicillin, namely amoxIcillin. In the number of pediatric patients aged 1-5 years with a diagnosis of acute respiratory tract infection is 35 cases, with the exact number of indications of 35 cases (100%), exactly 35 cases (100%), the right dose of 35 cases (100%), the right drug 35 cases (100%) and there are 35 cases (100%) that are rational in the use of antibiotics in the ARI of the child. Conclusion: In the use of antibiotics for patients ARI children at Community Health Center 1 Gombong is rational based on the right indication, right patient, right drug and appropriate dose.
