Abstract

Background: Covid-19 has had a huge impact on people's lives. ). Closely related to preventing the spread of Covid-19, there are several ways to prevent the risk of transmission of Covid-19, namely washing hands with running water and soap or hand sanitizer. In addition, the rules that must be followed are to use a mask when traveling, maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter from other people, cover mouth and nose with bent elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing, and avoid touching the face, such as mouth, nose, eyes can be doors. enter the virus. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the description of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in elementary school students as an effort to prevent covid-19. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive type. . The sample in this study amounted to 82 respondents from grade 4 and grade 5 SD Negeri 1 Mrentul and SD Negeri 3 Mrentul, Bonorowo District, Kebumen Regency with total sampling technique. The variables in this study were the practice of washing hands using soap and the practice of wearing masks which were measured using an observation sheet. Results: From 82 student respondents who had washed their hands in 7 steps and wore masks, 57 students or 69% of students at SD Negeri 1 Mrentul, Bonorowo District, Kebumen Regency were quite good at washing their hands in 7 steps and many students were wearing masks properly and correct. Conclusion: Healthy living behavior (PHBS) of SD Negeri 1 Mrentul students, Bonorowo District, Kebumen Regency is quite good in preventing Covid-19. Recommendation: Future researchers are expected to be able to examine different ways of measuring and levels of analysis such as analysis of relationships and factors that influence student behavior towards PHBS.
