Abstract

Background : Nurses are one of the most vulnerable health workers to contract the Covid-19 virus because nurses are a profession that intersects directly with patients for a long time. Therefore, currently nurses are required to comply in implementing health protocols, especially in the workplace. In addition, in the pandemic period health workers become an example (role model) for the community in the application of health protocols. Objective: Know the level of knowledge of nurses in the prevention of covid-19 transmission at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital Method: The study uses quantitative descriptive research methods with a Cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used in this study was Purposive Sampling and obtained a sample of 75 people. Research Results: Nurse Knowledge about Covid-19 disease at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital is in the good category of 43 respondents (57.3%) and for the category of quite 32 respondents (42.7%). Nurse knowledge on how to prevent Covid-19 transmission at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital is in the good category of 52 respondents (69.3%) and enough categories as many as 23 respondents (30.7%). While the knowledge of nurses about how to use PPE at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital is in the good category as many as 48 respondents (64.0%) and the majority of respondents are quite 27 respondents (36.0%) Conclusion: Nurses' knowledge about Covid-19 disease, how to prevent the transmission of Covid- 19 and how to use PPE at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital are in the good category.
