Abstract
Background: The final assessment of bachelor students is writing a thesis. During this process, a lot of students have psychological problems because writing a thesis the students need many information, facilities, and all-around support. Objective: To find out the peer support for the fourth years nursing students who were writing the thesis at the bachelor of nursing program in the Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong. Method: This study was descriptive and quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was one hundred thirty-four of fourth years nursing students in the bachelor of nursing program. They were selected as sampling using the total sampling technique. Result: The results showed that fifty-eight respondents (43.3%) received sufficient support, fifty respondents (37.3%) received less support and twenty-six respondents (19.4%) received good support. Conclusion: Almost fifty percent of fourth years nursing students in the bachelor of the nursing program received sufficient social support. Recommendation: Further research hope to conduct a qualitative method by interviewing the respondents regarding peer support obtained by students.
