Abstract

Background : . Physical and psychological changes caused a decrease in the desire to engage in sexual intercourse in pregnant women during the third trimester. These changes also affected the behavior towards sexual intercourse in pregnant women. To address this, health education was used as an effort to provide information on pregnancy sexual behavior. In the modern era, e-booklets emerged as effective health education media, offering easy accessibility and the ability to convey information effectively. Objective : The objective of this study was to provide health education using e-booklet media to increase knowledge about sexual behavior in third-trimester pregnant women. Method : This scientific writing utilized a descriptive method, where the application of health education through e-booklets was conducted for three consecutive days. Five respondents in their third trimester of pregnancy were given this health education session, each lasting for 15 minutes. Results : Prior to the health education through the e-booklet, the pre-test revealed the highest score of 15 correct answers out of 20 questions, categorized as sufficient (75%). After conducting the post-test using the same questionnaire, the highest score for correct answers was 19 out of 20 questions, categorized as good (100%). Conclusion : The application of effective health education significantly increased the knowledge of sexual behavior in the third trimester among the five respondents. This positive impact was evident before and after the health education session.
