Abstract
Background: COVID-19 has becomes a plague global disease. Some policy has been issued government starting COVID-19 prevention. This way was conducted for increasing vigilance and understanding of people, especially students to understand how to prevent COVID-19 transmission. As the students of MA WI Kebarongan still ignore it. Even even though the Indonesian government had been giving announcements about the health protocols for COVID-19. Purpose: To know the between knowledge and compliance with the health protocols for COVID-19 in students of MA WI Kebarongan. Method: This study was a correlative quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and 54 students were joined in this study. The respondents’ data were got by both knowledge respondent and obedience protocol health questionnaires. Data analysis utilized univariate and bivariate analysis using the Spearmen Rank test. Results: Forty-nine respondents (90.7%) were in good knowledge level and thirty-one respondents (57.4%) had good obedience. Bivariate analysis obtained that the coefficient correlation was 0.470 which means that there was a correlation between both variables with a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05), and both of them had a positive correlation. Conclusion: There was a correlation between knowledge and compliance with the health protocols for COVID-19 in students of MA WI Kebarongan. Recommendation: Further study will be expected to study factors that could influence the obedience of students to the health protocols for COVID-19.
