Abstract

Background: The application of the Kangaroo Method of Care for LBW will be better if the mother has a better psychological and emotional experience in FMD, so that with this method the baby becomes warmer and closer to the mother and can improve the quality of life. Purpose : To determine the relationship between motivation and maternal attitudes during the care of low birth weight babies using the kangaroo method of care in the Perinatology Room at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas. Research Method : cross sectional with a total of 44 respondents. Results : The research results obtained a p value of 0.401 (p value < 0.05). Conclusion: In this study, more mothers had strong motivation and had an unsupportive attitude regarding kangaroo method treatment in the Perinatology Room at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas.. Recommendations for future researchers: It is recommended that future researchers add instruments to the research, namely direct observation and interviews with respondents.
