Abstract
Background: In human life, a person is often exposed to trauma which for some reason leads to injury. The main causes of trauma include accidents for any reason, from year to year the number of accidents that experience fractures has increased. Fractures are 10 major cases that are often found in the Emergency Department (IGD) of Banjarnegara Islamic Hospital. The clinical symptom of a fracture is pain. In terms of pain management, it is recommended to combine it with non-pharmacological treatments, either used alone or in combination with both. Non-pharmacological therapies that can be used are lemon aromatherapy which helps stabilize and calm the nervous system and five-finger hypnosis which affects the patient's subconscious. Purpose: To analyze the provision of lemon aromatherapy and five-finger hypnosis in fracture patients with the main problem of acute pain. Method: Descriptive observation with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were 5 patients diagnosed with fracture. Patients aged 18-40 years, patients who only experienced extremity fractures, with a mild pain scale (1-3) to moderate pain (4-6). This case study was conducted in the IGD room of RSI Banjarnegara in April 2024. Results: This case study found that all five patients experienced a decrease in pain scale after receiving non-pharmacological therapy of lemon aromatherapy and five-finger hypnosis. Conclusion: Lemon aromatherapy and five-finger hypnosis can be used to reduce the patient's pain scale.
