Abstract
Background: The problem often faced by nurses is the increasing pressure of work due to the need to serve patients as well as possible at all times. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between nurses' spirituality and nurses' job satisfaction, and there was a significant relationship between workload and psychological support to job burnout in nurses. Methods: This study applied quantitative descriptive research methods. The sample in this study were all nurses in the inpatient room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital, a total of 189 nurses, with research instruments demographic questionnaire and spiritual needs fulfillment questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate analysis. Results: The results showed that most of the nurses' psychological conditions in the mild category were 161 people (90.4%), and the psychological conditions of nurses in the moderate category were 17 people (9.6%). The results showed that most nurses had perceptions of spirituality needs with a high category of 165 people (92.7%). While the perception of the spirituality needs of respondents in the low category was only 3 people (1.7%). Conclusion: The psychological condition of nurses in the inpatient room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital is mostly in the mild category as many as 161 people (90.4%). Spirituality needs of nurses in the inpatient room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital were mostly in the low category of 165 people (92.7%). Recommendation: The results of this study are expected that future researchers can examine the psychology of executive nurses based on shifts and workload in the inpatient unit.
