Abstract
Background, Prevalence in prembun description with hypertension is approximately 87.21 %, the height of hypertension in Indonesia so that a rational drug selection in hypertensive patients becomes an important component in the success of medicine. The use of irrational drugs has a serious impact on the severity and mortality rate of patients with chronic illness, So the drug selection must meet standard prescribed treatment. Objective, Knowing rationality of hypertension treatment with target blood pressure patient RSUD Prembun. Methods, The research is descriptive with retrospective data collections of January- December 2023 with samples of 375. The analysis used was a microsoft excel and a chi square test. Result, The results obtained from 375 hypertensive patients indicate that the drug used frequently in the rsud prembun is ARB, CCB, ACEI, β-Bloker dan diuretic. From the evaluation of the use of antihypertensive drugs based on the patient's exact criteria, Exactly the indication, Exactly the dosage, right time interval given 100.00 %, and correct drug selection 80.27 %.Of the above rational value of 190 patients and irrational 22 patients. There's a relationship between rationality and a significant blood pressure target with value (p-value 0,000). Conclusion, There's a significant connection between rationality to antihypertension treatment with the blood pressure target (p 0.05). Recommendation, The need for further research on rationality is the use of antihypertensive drugs in terms of rational drug criteria (Compliance, side effects and follow up on therapy given) with the aim of lowering the risk of hypertension.
