Abstract

Background: Health Departmen of Central Java states that the death rate of mothers in the labor process is 58%. The government only makes policy on anemia of pregnant mother, but no policy for the postpartum mother. Anemia of the post partum mother can influence the mother and the baby. This is crucial in the breastfeeding which will play an important role in the child development. Therefore, the writer is interested in applying the consumption of red guava juice to increase hemoglobin level. Objective: Finding out the effect of consuming red guava juice to increase hemoglobin level of post partum mother. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study. This was conducted from June 8 up to June 30, 2017 Result: After consuming red guava juice for 15 days, the hemoglobin level of the 3 post partum mothers can increase with mean value of HB 1,4 g%. Conclusion: The application of consuming red guava juice can effectively increase the hemoglobin level of post partum mothers in Independent Midwifery Clinic of C Retno W Amd. Keb.
