Abstract
Background: Less production of breast milk is the problem a post partum mother commonly has. Breast care for breastfeeding mother is very important to accelerate her breast milk. Most of post partum mothers do not know yet how to do breast care. Objective: Applying breast care of the second day post partum mother to accelerate the breast milk production. Result: After having breast care for 3 days – 15 minutes twice a day, there was an increase in the breast care ability of the mothers (95%). Before applying breast care, the breast milk expenditure was 40%, and it became 60% after applying the breast care. Recommendation:Breast care can be a continous program of nursing care for post partum mothers. Keywords: Breast milk, breast care, post partum
