Abstract
Background: The reproductive maturity of adult women is characterized by the arrival of menstruation. During menstruation, women sometimes have pain. The nature and level of pain vary, ranging from mild to severe. This is called dysmenorrhoea. The treatment of dysmenorrhoea is quite varied, such as using pharmacological and non-pharmacological. The non-pharmacological is a simple way, by using warm compresses on the stomach. The pharmacological is done by using analgesic drug. Another way that can be done is by taking hormonal drugs, anti prostaglandin non-steroid drugs due to doctor's prescription. Objective: To know the description of dysmenorrhoea pain treatment of female students of Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Kebumen Method: This study uses descriptive method with survey approach. The samples were 84 students taken by simple random technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Result: This study resulted in the finding that some female students of Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Kebumen have mild dysmenorrhoea pain (39.3%). The given treatment is pharmacological, such drinking herbal medicine. The non-pharmacological treatment is done by sleeping and taking rest.
