Abstract
Background: The work experience of ICU nurses is different from that of nurses in other units. ICU nurses are required to have the knowledge and special skills to work quickly in addressing critical patient conditions so that nurses in the ICU room easily experience work stress. Objective: To know the management of nurses Intensive Care Unit (ICU) stress in RSUD DR. Soedirman Kebumen. Method: This research used descriptive method with survey approach. Samples of 26 nurses were taken in total sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis Results: This study resulted in finding that most of the nurses with sufficient category stress management (88.5%), whereas if the stress management of nurses based on the lattice of stress management questionnaire, it can be seen that most respondents with good category physical strategy (73.1% ), Sufficient category emotional strategy (53.8%), sufficient category cognitive strategy (53.8%), and good category social strategy (53.8%).
