Abstract
Background: During childhood, at least the children has experienced hospitalization. Children need the media to be able to express their feelings and be able to cooperate with health workers during the period of treatment. The most active media used is through a game. Completeness of facilities, hospital management, client response and competence of the nurses such as knowledge and attitude of nurses or supervisors in the implementation of play therapy is very instrumental in the success of the play therapy. Objectives: Knowing factors related to the implementation of the play therapy in Children Room RSUD DR. Soedirman Kebumen and PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: This research method using correlation method with cross sectional approach. The sample is a nurse in the Children’s Room RSUD DR. Soedirman Kebumen and PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital as much as 38 nurses taken in total sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive and correlative analysis using Chi Square test. Result: From chi square test results obtained 4 variables that have relationship with the implementation of play therapy in Children Room RSUD DR. Soedirman Kebumen and RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong, that is knowledge (Pvalue = 0.003), means of playing activity (Pvalue = 0.005), employee attitude (Pvalue = 0.002), and hospital management (Pvalue = 0.000).
