Abstract
Background, Nursing care for acute pain in Non-ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarct (NSTEMI). Pain arises due to ischemia, pain is a form of discomfort that can be experienced by everyone. Non-pharmacological pain management by performing nonpharmacological relaxation techniques using Guided Imagery therapy. Objective, Explaining of nursing care by giving Guided Imagery therapy to Nstemi patients with acute pain nursing problems in the ICU Room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Result, The assessment was carried out on three patients Nstemi in alloanamnesa and auto-anamnesa, then physical and supporting examinations were carried out. From the data analysis obtained by the author drawing conclusions priority, nursing problems are acute pain. After the intervention was carried out and the implementation of Guided Imagery therapy for 3x24 hours, the patient felt safe and comfortable and there was a decrease in the scale of pain being mild. Conclusion, Therapy Guided Imagery can reduce pain in Nstemi patients. Recommendations, Provision Guided Imagery therapy in patients with impaired safety and comfort can be proven to be used to reduce the scale of pain, soothe patients to avoid anxiety/worry. In principle, the treatment of Guided Imagery should be carried out continuously and independently so that patients who experience impaired safety and comfort can be overcome.
