Abstract

Background: Typhoid fever is a gastrointestinal infection caused by salmonella typhi. This disease is transmitted through food and beverages contaminated by fecec or urine of people who have been infected. objective: To find out how to deal with fever by applying warm compresses using the Tepid Water Sponge method. Method: This scientific paper uses descriptive methods in the form of case studies using the nursing process approach. Results of the Intervention: After the implementation, the study of data included the temperature of An.S 39,3°C, temperatur An.K 39°C, skin felt warm and reddish. Nursing problems experienceed by An.S and An.K are suspected typhoyd fever. Performed actions to periodically body temperature and perform tepid water sponges, and encourage clients to drink plenty of water. An evaluation of the action carried out for three days showed that the intervention carried out could help overcome the fever. Conclusion: The action of applying tepid water sponge is very effective to reduce body temperature that has fever, as evidenced by the decrease in An.S 37,3°C and An.K 36,3°C body temperature. Recommendation: The author can apply the tepid water spoge to treat fever.
