Abstract
Background : WHO determines the average standard of sectio caesarea in a country is about 5-10% per 1,000 births in the world. 2016 Indonesian Health Profile showed sectio caesarea as the highest case that occurred in Indonesia with 480,622 total cases. The sectio caesarea operation causes pain and results the change in continuity system due to surgery. The implementation of nonpharmacological pain management has not been fully carried out by nurse to overcome the pain. Relaxation technique that becomes nurse’s independent intervention is still very little. Purpose : Describing nursing care with the implementation of benson relaxation therapy to reduce pain in post sectio caesarea mother. Method : Case study used descriptive method in November till February 2019. Subjects were 2 post sectio caesarea clients in Muhammadiyah Hospital of Gombong. Results : The results showed a decrease in the scale of pain after being given benson relaxation therapy. Client one the scale pain changed from 6 to 2, and client two the scale pain changed from 6 to 3. Conclusion : The implementation of benson relaxation therapy reduces pain in the post sectio caesarea effectively. Recommendation : The implementation of benson relaxation therapy can be given to post sectio caesarea to reduce pain.
