Abstract
Background: LBW babies have a high risk of mortality, it contributes to the number of deaths in infants. The risk of the death rate can be reduced by a good and correct management. The nursing roles, as a health worker must be able to carry out nursing implementations that can be reduce the occurrence of LBW babies health problems. The interventions that develop in the LBW management in one of the approaches is complementary therapy. Complementary therapies that are often used in LBW babies are massage therapy and music therapy. Lullaby music given to babies is an intervention to improve the stability of the respiratory status of babies premature and reducing the impact that appears on the baby during treatment. Objective: Describing of nursing care by fulfilling the basic needs of oxygenation ineffectiveness breathing patterns. Results: The main nursing problems is the ineffectiveness of the breathing pattern related with the immaturity of respiratory organs. Interventions and implementations that are the focus of the author were carried out during treatment in three samples, namely with lullaby music therapy. Recommendation: The author innovates the nursing action of lullaby music therapy for 3 consecutive days with a time span and the same conditions criteria support tha baby's breathing conditions to be more regular and the respiration rate within the normal range.
