Abstract
Background: Osteoarthritis is a disease that develops slow joint cartilage related to old age. Osteoarthritis (OA) can be a trigger for joint pain because joint pain is a major complaint that appears in people with OA. One of the movement techniques that can be done to reduce pain in patients with Osteoarthritis (OA) is by doing rheumatism exercises. Rheumatic gymnastics is one method that is practical and effective in maintaining body health. The movement contained in rheumatic gymnastics is a very effective, efficient and logical movement because the series of movements is carried out regularly and organized for people with Osteoarthritis (OA) Objective: to describe the results of analysis of gerontik nursing care for clients by fulfilling the basic needs of acute osteoarthritis pain Method: This scientific work uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. Instrument using case study SOP) rheumatism gymnastics, Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Results of nursing care: The results of a study conducted in osteoarthritis patients obtained data that the main complaint felt was pain. The priority nursing diagnosis in osteoarthritis patients is pain associated with decreased bone function. Nursing interventions carried out are pain control and rheumatic gymnastic innovation. Nursing implementation that is carried out is namely pain control :. Besides that, the writer also applies rheumatism exercise. The results of nursing evaluations in patients with osteoarthritis, show that pain problems associated with decreased bone function are overcome with an indication of a decrease in the scale of pain. The results of the innovation of nursing action in rheumatic gymnastic techniques in osteoarthritis patients who experience acute pain indicate a decrease in pain symptoms. Decreased symptoms of pain after rheumatism exercise nursing actions. Patients I, II, and III experienced a decrease in scale pain 3. Recommendation: The results of this nursing care can be used as a reference for the preparation of an SOP for the management of osteoarthritis pain using non-pharmacological methods, one of which is rheumatic exercise or combining with other actions.
