Abstract
Background: Section Caesarean is an artificial birth, in which the fetus is born through an incision in the uterine wall with the condition of the uterus intact and the fetus weighing more than 500 gram. Childbirth sectio caesarea cause pain effects due to abdominal incision so that patients experience acute pain. Objective: The purpose of this paper is to explain nursing care by providing therapeutic hand-held relaxation techniques to reduce acute pain in patients post sectio caesarea Result Of Nursing Care: The main nursing diagnosis that appears in all three post sectio caesarean patients is acute pain. Implementation is carried out according to nursing intervention, the results of evaluation for 3 x 24 hours the patient changes, a significant reduction in pain from severe pain to mild pain after hand held relaxation therapy. Recommendation: nurses are expected to be able to apply finger handheld relaxation therapy to deal with nursing problems of acute pain post sectio caesarea patients.
