Abstract
Background: One of the invasive procedure that is often done to treat various conditions of patient during their hospital stay around the word is intravenous therapy, but patients who get intravenous therapy in the long run are at high risk of complications. Objective : to find out the description of the implementation of infusion at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Gombong. Method: The method was descriptive with univariate analysis techiques. This research was conducted in November- December 2018. Samples were technique of 50 respondents. data collection was obtained through obseevation. Results: There were respondents (84%) according to the fixed procedure and 8 respondents (16%) did not comply with the procedure. Conclusion: The description of nurses in carring out the infusion in PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital was included in the category of obedient infision standard operating procedure. Recommedation: The need for futher research reisted to the implementation of standard operating procedure especially infusion through the addition of several different variables regarding the implementation of infusion standard operating procedure.
