Abstract
Background : The percentage of exclusive breastfeeding in infants 0 to 6 months in kebumen district according to the latest data in 2016 is 41,8%. Breast milk production is affected by two hormones, namely prolactin and oxytocin. The problem caused by nursing mother is not the maximum production of breast milk. A small amount of breast milk can be overcome by consuming the heart of a banana. Banana heart is a type of plant that contains lactagogum has the potential to improve and facilitate breastfeeding. Objective : Application of processed banana heart for thr smooth pdoduction of breast milk Method : This study uses a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection is collected by observation,interviews, literature study and documentation. Participants were 5 postpartum mothers. Result : before consuming mauve leaves the ASI production was obtained in the five participants not yet smoothly, but after 7 days of consuming banana heart processing the results are there is an increase in breast milk, which can be seen from the frequency of baby BAK, characteristics of infant BAK, frequency of baby BAB, BAB characteristics , the frequency of the baby sleeping, breastfeeding frequency in a day and increase in baby’s weight Conclusion : The application of processed banana heart can increase milk production.
