Abstract
Background: Stroke is a brain dysfunction that happened fast and more than 24 hours. There is a disturbance on blood supplying into the brain. The common problem of a stroke patient is muscle weakness (Hemiparese). One of the rehabilitation program is the mobilization of ROM exercise joints with a gripping rubber ball, early mobilization with ROM exercise joints with a gripping rubber ball to increase muscle strength on the stroke patient has Hemiparesis. Objective: Describe the results of the analysis of nursing care barriers to physical mobility in stroke patients in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Regional Hospital of Purwokerto. Method: The methodology used was descriptive-analytic with a case study approach in 3 stroke patients with barriers to physical mobility. Instruments of the case study were nursing care format, standard operational procedure (SOP) of ROM exercise joints with a gripping rubber ball. Result: The results of the assessment in the three patients had the same main complaint, namely the weakness of the limb. The priority diagnoses an all three patients was a barrier to physical mobility associated with neoromuscular disorders. Interventions that have been carried out on the three patients are of ROM exercise joints with a gripping rubber ball. The evaluation results after three days of ROM exercise joints with a gripping rubber ball effective improved the muscle strenght of stroke patient. Recommendation: It is expected that the role of medical personnel will be more optiomal in conducting ROM studies for patients stroke.
