Abstract
Background: CHF is a condition in which the heart fails to pump blood to meet the needs of the body's cells for adequate nutrients and oxygen. Disruption of the basic needs of security and comfort in CHF patients will cause nursing problems, one of which is pain. Handling pain by doing relaxation techniques is a nursing action performed to reduce pain. Pain management with relaxation measures includes deep breathing relaxation techniques. Objective: To carry out nursing care for Congestive Heart Failure patients with acute pain at emergency room PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Results: Nursing diagnoses that appear on the client are acute pain associated with biological injury agents. Actions: Actions taken in handling acute pain problems associated with biological injury agents, the authors conducted pain management with innovation in deep breathing. Evaluation: The evaluation results showed a decrease in pain symptoms from the moderate category to the mild category after nursing action was carried out deep breathing.
