Abstract
Background: Respiratory system disorders are a disorder that is a major problem in the world, especially Indonesia, one of them is asthma. One sign of symptoms of asthma is shortness of breath with nursing problems cleaning the airway. Effective coughing is an attempt to expel phlegm and maintain airway strength. General objectives: Describe the results of nursing analysis to the client with the problem of ineffectiveness of the cleaning of the breath in the Emergency Installation of Wonosobo Islamic Hospital to three patients. Results: The results of the study, the client said cough was phlegm and difficult to issue and the client's objective data was seen coughing continuously but the phlegm was difficult to come out, there was a wheezing sound during expiration, the client looked restless abnormal breathing rhythm, rapid Respiratory rate breath on the client, the author does teach effective cough. Evaluation results show effective coughing can overcome the ineffectiveness of airway clearance.
