Abstract

Background: Chronic Obstructive Disease (COPD) is a disease which is a condition where the flow of air in the lungs is blocked continously. This disease process is often a combination of 2 or 3 of the following conditions (Chronic Obstructive Bronchitis, Emphysema and Bronchial Asthma) with a primary cause and the other is a complication of the primary disease. Objectives The authors is able to analyze the results of the administration of steam therapy to patients with nursing problems ineffective airway clearance in COPD patients. Methods: The method the researcher uses is the type/design in this Ners scientific paper using a descriptive case study design (Descriptive Design). A sample of 3 patients were taken with the same case, and the same action was taken which would have seen the results of the action by evaluating the results of the action. Results: The study There were 3 patients with evaluation results after taking a steam action with RR results of patients 1 RR 26 x / min, patients 2 RR 28 x / min, patients 3 26 x / min. Conclusion: There is a significant effect on steam therapy in patients with nursing problems that is not effective in airway clearance in cases with COPD medical diagnoses.
