Abstract

Background, Interdialitic Weight Gain (IDWG) is an increase in fluid volume in the body of patients with chronic kidney discase which is characterized by weight gain between two hemodialysis (interdialitic) sessions. dry weight is the weight of the patient post/after hemodialysis without any signs of fluid retention. IDWG exceeds 5% of dry weight can result in negative for patients including hypotension, muscle cramps, shortness of breath, edema , nausea and vomiting , even death. Objective, discrebing the Intedialitic Weight Gain (IDWG) in CKD patients undergoing hemodilysis in Hospitals. PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong. Methods, This research use a quantitative research method with a descriptive design and a cross-sectional data collection design. The population in this study were all patients with chronic renal failure who underwnt hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong as hospitals many as 112 respondents, using a questionare level of 10% error. Data collection was carried out by measuring the weight of post/hemodialysis patients and pre/ before subsequent hemodialysis for two consecutive univariate test in the form of mean. Results, The results of the study indicate that the average weight gain between two hemodialysis session (IDWG) for five meansurements of 85 people (75.9%) was in the IDWG category <5% of dry BB, and as many as 27 people (24,1%) are in the IDWG category > 5% of dry BB. Weight gain in excess of 5% of dry BB is caused because patients do not adhere to the recommended fluid restriction diit. Conclusion, Based on the result of the study the average weight gain between the two hemodialysis session (IDWG) for the five most dominant measurements was in the IDWG category <5% of dry BB as many as 85 people (75.9%). Recommaditons, For of hemodilysis to IDWG in patients with CKD who undergo hemodilysis.
