Abstract
Background: Warm compresses of ginger is a rhizome plant that is very popular as a spice and medicinal ingredient, the benefit of ginger compresses is to reduce the pain of warm ginger. Abdominal colic is irreversible constipation and dinical symptoms of colic are abdominal cramps, disterntion, vomiting, and the presense of tenderness in the abdomen. Effects caused such as kidney failure, liver failure, cancer spread of infection, dehydration, So to overcome this problem can be done warm compresses of ginger, besides that it can also be with deep breathing techniques and relaxation distractions. Research purposes: To knowing the effect of giving warm compress with grated ginger to reduce the scale of pain. Method: The writer uses descriptive method is research conducted on a set of objects which usually aims to see a picture of phenomena (including health) that occur within a particular population. Results: After application of warm compresses with grated ginger to reduce the scale of pain, there was a decrease of 2 and 3 pain scale scores. Condusion: The application of warm compresses with grated ginger can reduce the scale of pain in patiens with abdominal colic. Recommendation: The application of warm compresses with grated ginger can be used to reduce the scale of pain in patines with colic.
