Abstract
Background: Based on Riskesdas (2018) in Indonesia, the percentage of malnutrition in children under five is 13.8%. Meanwhile, according to the results of Nutrition Status Monitoring (PSG) in 2017, 17.8% of children under five are malnourished. Parental behavior in parenting is very important in improving the quality of children's growth and development. Objectives: Provide an overview of nursing care in the development of pre-school age children with problems of inability to become parents in the village of Sampang, Sempor sub-district. Methods: This scientific paper is done by studying case studies using descriptive methods. Data obtained starting from the assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Subjects consisted of 2 families with pre-school children who chose voters. Held on 30 December 2019 to 18 January 2020 in the village of Sampang, Sempor. Results: After taking four nursing visits during the family visit the results of nursing care with nursing problems were the inability to become parents. The intervention given to the family also provides education that helps prepare nutritious menus for toddlers and also introduces new foods. After conducting family health education that is able to support and provide special food that is more nutritious, the family also said that they have understood and understood about effective parents for pre-school children. Conclusion: Nursing care can improve the quality of parenting for most parents who have pre-school age children
