Abstract

Background: Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease that occurs due to reduced blood flow and oxygen to the brain. Stroke is the leading cause of death and the sixth most common cause of disability. Therefore, handheld rubber ball therapy should be carried out to reduce the risk of disability. Writing objectives : Describe nursing care for physical mobility barriers in stroke patients with the application of handheld rubber ball therapy. Methods : This scientific paper uses the case study method of nursing care in stroke patients with physical mobility impairments, using descriptive methods in the form of case studies. Data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Where the authors use the application of handheld rubber ball therapy to two objects and their success will be assessed. Results : After the rubber ball hand-held action carried out for 4 days with a frequency of 2 times a day for 5 to 10 minutes, there was an increase in muscle strength, an increase in muscle strength by 1 scale from before. Conclusion : In the evaluation carried out for four days performing nursing actions in stroke patients by providing increased muscle strength in stroke patients with handheld rubber ball therapy exercises. Recommendations : Stroke sufferers with physical mobility barriers are recommended doing handheld rubber ball therapy to increase muscle strength.
